I believe I've worked most of the kinks out of the Jean Bart. ;)

Glad to see this nearly completed, or uncompleted as I should say. ;)

I always enjoy the history of the ships as well as the drawings themselves, and the Jean Bart's escape to Casablanca is especially interesting.

I haven't seen such an 'incomplete' drawing before, very interesting. Will you be drawing a completed version?

The French Richelieu-Class Battleship Jean Bart

I have depicted as she appeared on 19 June, 1940.

Jean Bart was only about 75% complete when her construction was halted when France was invaded by German forces in June 1940. She escaped from Saint-Nazaire and sailed to Casablanca just before the Armistice. At this time she only had one operational turret, the second “B” turret was merely a frame. Barbettes were in place for her secondary battery but the turrets were yet to be placed. Bart’s anti-aircraft was a hastily put together and very incomplete mixture of two 90mm, three 37mm twin mounts and 6 13.2mm mounts, two quads and four twin mounts. Only her two outboard screws were installed. Her boilers were lit-off for the first time when she sailed for Casablanca.

This is a revision (10/31/2014)

Great work, a very interesting piece of work. Do you intend doing a version as she appeared in North Africa too?
