Bremen Vulcan HC500PC Offshore Patrol Helicopter Carriers (OHPC), Never Built Design

After project 20,000 tons CTOL Aircraft Carrier was reject by the goverment in 1990, Ayutthaya Navy interested small Helicopter Carrier. Bremen Vulcan present 2 HC500PC Offshore Patrol Helicopter Carriers (OHPC), one for Andaman Sea and one for Gulf of Thailand.

HC500PC can carried 6 Helicopters or 4 V/STOL aircrafts, the navy plan to bought 10 EX-US Navy SH-2F Seasprites and upgrade to SH-2G Super Seasprite by Kaman Aircraft Corporation. this ship had low operating cost can used in many missions, first of two was commission in 1995 and full services in 1998.

However, in 1992 this project was cancel again because of financial problems. Bremen Vulcan can't management 22,000 co-workers in Germany and bankruptcy after 1996. final deal Ayutthaya Navy bought Bazan 11,000 tons V/STOL Aircraft Carrier, first & last Offshore Patrol Helicopter Carrier until now.

UHF antennas
Link11 antennas
2xSCOT SATCOM system and domes

Armament:
1xOto Melara 76/62 Super Rapid Gun
2xSextuple Sadral launchers for Mistral surface-to-air missiles
2xMark 32 3-tube torpedo launchers for Mark 46 torpedoes
3xOerlikon 20 mm GAM-BO1 manual machine guns(or Typhoon 25 mm machine gun)
2xM2HB machine guns

Aircraft carried:
4-6xSH-2G Super Seasprite (up to 8 additional helicopters when required)
