I would not be helping you for all Alaska's versions, 1940-1958 (aka 1940-1978 era)

Some of the larger concepts had it that like that.

Hi Colombamike,

As a general rule, if it's not obviously private, and you don't state that it's private (did you ask Colo not to share?) , what exactly do you expect the recipient (any recipient, that is, not just Colo) to do with the message? It's related to the subject of this thread, I fail the see the controversy in posting relevant materials here if not explicitly asked not to. I'll note that you've not had a single bit of criticism for posting the, as usual, well researched and relevant pictures, so I don't imagine it's that.

Regards,
Adam

You sent me a PM with a bunch of corrections using public domain images.

There are only two versions of these ships. I've drawn both. The rest are, as you would say, "a nonsense", "disastrous ruining of Shipbucket's raison detre", etc.

I think my opinion re. Columbamike is well known by now. So, just speaking for myself, you're forgiven :D

I have always been one of the biggest champions for Colombamike on this forum, often defending him when no one else would, and I appreciate the help he has given over the years, but good god it's just not worth it for the stupid attitude we have to deal with. I'm so annoyed that this came out in my Alaska thread.

A beautiful example of the golden age of American ship design and wonderful drawings!

Colo: Just a request- would you do the Philippines if she was completed, but with the conning tower higher by one deck, and maybe with the catwalk enclosed? Also, have you considered Hawaii if she became CBC-1?

Sorry, have been starting a new job at work and haven't had time to keep up with nearly anything...

So you are essentially wanting a CB with an Iowa-style enclosed bridge? I've done something similar for an AU here: http://www.shipbucket.com/forums/viewto ... =15&t=4708

I am not really interested in the post-war modifications so will likely not be drawing CBC-1... but anyone else is free to do so of course.

Essentially, but a late 40's version, like the post war Hawaii. (With a stern catapault, or even just a helipad) Of course, if and when you get settled into your job. About CBC-1, I figured you'd do it, since you're the Alaska master. :) Of course, you can do what you want. :)
