Nice work. I think a look to my thread for What if British Aircraft would be useful for this AU. I have a better Gannet AEW for instance plus several other ideas.

yes ive been looking closely at your thread, i assume you meen Hoods AEW with Radome, this was pm'd to me by Hood and i modded it back to almost AEW.3 standard. i've been trying to justify a few of the aircraft from your thread i.e i was pondering ditching my original idea of the RAF deploying an E.3 and New cromer purchasing maybe a VC.10 AEW or Nimrod AEW variant but id have to probably alter my MPA to Nimrod from Orion if that was the case. also i did want the ASTOVL P.1214 or 1216 instead of Harrier but thought this be a bit to radical.....
i also looked at the Hawker AEW aircarft but size is an issue as till 1991 I'm limited to Centaur Carriers, and between 1992 and 2006 i was limited to STOVL operations.....
Also as my Airforce did not acquire it's Lightning till 1969 very late i also tried to justify the swing wing lightning.....

There also an Orion AEW proposed in 1986-1987 so I think you can have it, while the Gannet AEW is carrier based. Personally I am not very fond of the Lighting-VG,.
