very good :D now we are coming somewhere, and now I am no longer derived by that radar, I can say you did an pretty good job. the only thing left now are those 'dark holes' which should be outlined in black (especially if they are holes) and the additions of some (navigation-) lights. (in any case, you can add the bb-sb light just below the bridge ;)

I ask of you to prove me wrong. Not say I am wrong, but prove it, because then I will have learned something new.

;) Thanks! The "holes" are holes, and I try to figure out a better way to make them. Concerning the sb-lights I'm waiting for more photos where it is more visible, so I can place them correct. :D

Derp. 256^3 ~= 16 million != 2^16. Timothy is correct.

My drawing of HDMS Huitfeldt is very depending on the Danish Defence's official sketch and few photos from the building proces. Now I've get some pictures from the vessels test sailing, and there are a lot of small but major changes. The tower to the SMART-L radar is slightly different to De Zeven Provinciën (sorry Acelanceloet!), but maybe it's because of it was build at Odense Stålskibsværft (Lindø).
The other radar mast is placed different compared to the original draft, and the bridge is also a little bit different.
I have marked two life rafts with red arrows. The reason is Huitfeldt got some new bigger life rafts. The one to the right have I drawn in the real scale. The left is from the parts sheet. Now I have to ask: May I use the right one, or should I use the one from parts sheet? :?:
(The life raft in the hull is the traditional in real also!)
Anyone who have an idea of what the purpose of the iron bands (marked red) on the hull beneath the life rafts are?

Hmm :( No one have the answer for the metallic band on the hull. Maybe I'll find the solution some day. Now I go a little step forward

I reckon they are drain pipes from the upper weather decks of the ship.

That must be a new feature added now on new build ships by running the liferaft painter line down externally on the side of the ships hull. Normally the painter line for liftrafts was always mostly stored inside the liferaft with some of the same line coiled n strapped onto the side of liferaft casing (length of rope varies upon the height of ship from drop point of the liferaft) and the end of the line attached to a hydrostatic release n quick release shackle. the step was You undo the liferafts sea secure strapping, throw/roll the liferaft over side, move it to position where you need it for safe escape entry point, pull heaps of extra line out of raft till u get to end of it and yank it hard to inflat the life raft, board it, then cut the line releasing the liferaft from the sinking ship.

It's indeed something to do with the life rafts, so I think that's the most reasonable answer. Thanks :!: :D

I've decided that I can't wait to autumn - where the Royal Danish Navy is supposed to finishing the armament - to complete my drawing. BUT :!: I have some questions about the missiles. I'm not quite sure I found the excact versions in the parts sheets. In the US Weapons of Navy I found the SM-2ER BlkIV. Is it the same look as SM-2 IIIA?
I've also found the Harpoons there (identical whith the dutch parts sheet). It says RGM-84 Harpoon. Is it identical with Harpoon Block II SSM?
Stinger, RIM-162 ESSM and RIM-7 Sea Sparrow I'd taken from the dutch parts sheet.
These armament questions are the last I have to get clarified before I can remove the WIP-sign and the red help-lines. Btw if any wonders why the helicopter is a Lynx when the ships capacity is a Merlin it's due to the fact that the new helicopters for the frigates aren't yet decided :?
[EDIT] Because of TimothyC's answer beneath the mentioned WIP and lines are removed :D
