I present the first MBT of the Roman army, the Type L Loricatus, or in English, the Armored Vehicle Type 50. Developed in the early 60s to counter newer and more modern tanks developed by the enemies of Rome. The tank itself is a cross between the Leopard 1, MBT-70 and the Type 74 Nana-yon.

Nice drawing.
Just the turret makes impression of being somewhat small relative to hull (and machine gun of being HUGE).

The turret is relatively small compared to most tanks of the era. The hull of my type L has the length of the Leopard 1. The Type 74, though based on the Leopard 1 hull wise is smaller. Either way, smaller turret = less hits. You can see the turret here: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c ... nk_-_2.jpg

The MG is the Ma Deuce with the stock of the MG-42 and a trigger on the underside of the gun.

According to this page of Flight Global International (http://www.flightglobal.com/pdfarchive/ ... 10%20super) an even larger VC.10 was considered. Would carry 222 passengers. Perhaps this varaint would combine the long fuselage of the BEA Short Haul VC.10 with the larger wing of "regular" airframe and maximum 230 seats. This could be moved in What-if British Aircraft thread. I named it Super-300 (as a follow on eswube's designation of Super-200).

I made the design before my vacation.

Design itself is exactly that described above, the long airframe (~196ft) with the standard 44,5m wingspan. Sorry for the resized picture, it is well above Post Image capacity, will reposted when Majhost is open again (now is down for maintenance).

Majhost's "down for maintenance" periods are a price to pay for it's simple operation. :/
Nice work - essentialy a fuselage of VC.10 Short Haul without shortened wings.
There was a number of variations on the VC.10 design considered, but many of them are quite obscure source-wise.
