In preparation for a new Old Grey Funnel Line faction project, I agreed to redo my previous Royal Sovereigns, as quite frankly the old ones are no longer up to scratch. Its quite satisfying that this is the first RN ship I've drawn that no new parts were needed for (although I tweaked the 4x .50in MG mount) and everything on the parts sheets fitted perfectly!


Royal Sovereign Class

HMS Royal Sovereign as she appeared during 1935

[ img ]
HMS Resolution as she appeared in 1936.

[ img ]
HMS Resolution as she appeared in 1942 following her 1941 and 1942 refits.

[ img ]
HMS Royal Oak as she appeared during neutrality patrols during the Spanish Civil War during 1937, having completed her final rebuild the previous year.

This is really nice answer to our spring time USN battle line revisions, so perhaps the fall would be for RN moment for glory in the bucket :D
