Ayutthaya Alisha Class is the modern stealth Frigate, Ayutthaya built 4 ships in the Country to replace 2 Phimai Class ASW frigates and 2 Yarinda Class corvettes. to reduce the cost all ships install secondhand AN/SPS-49 search and long-range surveillance radar (maybe will replace with the new radar when refit).

The navy selected Oerlikon Millennium gun 35 mm to replace Tetral quadruple launcher for Mistral missile (out of production) and 2xTyphoon 25 mm remote gun. After 2014 Ayutthaya will use Millennium gun CIWS in Frigates and Simbad RC in the OPV, Support ship or small vessel if required. Yes! Phalanx CIWS fail again in this Project (still have only 2 units).

Tira is the new standard CMS for Ayutthaya Navy,base on SAAB 9LV MK4 can control and modify all Signaal and Thales Sensors.
can integrated with LINK11, LINK16 and SAAB TIDLS Link. in 2006 The Navy test install TIRA S MK1 in AKARA Class and completed in the next 2 years.

Change the engines from MTU to MAN Diesel, install standard weapons and sensors. Have plan to replace old Bofors 40/70 gun with Bofors 40 Mk4 BAE Systems remote gun and install TIRA S MK.1 Combat Management System (3 Multi-function consoles) between 2015-2016
