Language wise why not speak some form of a Latin based language mixed with some form of a Slavic dialect, after all it is an AU world, so you can come up with a new language.
For the above reason you might want to retain the name Galicia.

I quite agree Novice that being an AU that I could invent a language called 'Galician' that could be like Espiranto and be a mix of primary languages from within the Union and taught from school age up with ongoing classes for all levels of the Armed Services. Thus over a 5-10 year period the new language would percolate through all of the Union. One of the reasons I originally chose German is that the ex-A/H ships would have had all their markings/labels in German. No need to change everything over if you speak/read German. For any new ships they could be marked in any language.

It took me awhile to find the name Galicia to apply to the new Union of countries. I could have called it Balkania as an alternative but I did not want to include a name that already existed within the Union as this could have caused resentment within the other countries. Nationalism is one of the biggest problems to be faced in all countries going forward.

One concern could be religion, with the Roman Catholic Church, Islam and the Eastern Orthodox Church represented, and possibly others.

would you be so kind to post the new ships in the new post as well? I don't feel like reading over the entire first page to check 'which ship was it again'

Love all the top views !

If you want any comments all I can think is,

For your CLs,
- do you have to much light AA to early ? (not that you shouldn't have it just not sure it would be fitted without hindsight, 16 40mm is quite a lot by 28 standards ? )
- are the arcs on the middle set of 2pdr ( 32,35) going to work ? or should you swap with the .5s near the funnel ?)

Radetzky Class,
The 38 fit is a bit light ? would you not want at least a few guns over 88mm ? 5/4.7/4 inch AA guns that would be able to deal with a destroyer if needed ? Or just keep the end 2 turrets ?

Archduke Franz Ferdinand Class Battleship,
- Would they really be rebuilt in 39 ? I don't know if you can afford to lose it for a year in dry dock ?
- If its based on a Ersatz Monarch-class would it not be 24,000t and 14inch guns ? (or is it a pre war pod)

JSB

JSB - CL's - the mid 2pd AA guns have an arc of about 135 degrees which is ok. For the 1928 version I might have a pair too many of the quad 2pd's but better too many than not enough.

Radetzky - the 1938 version is a harbour bound training ship and AA platform. It only has one boiler set left operating to provide power to the ship.

Hungaria BB - the rebuild finishes in 1939, started in 1937. Its based on a later design than the Ersatz Monarch type, I just used the name.
