Hello everyone!

A nation in ecstasy! 4 points in the group phase and now this! Biggest surprise in world soccer since Greece became European champion! Thiaria's goalkeeper hired by FC Barcelona for 25 million Euros within minutes after the penalty shootout! Over 3.000 driver's licenses revoked for drunken driving during the victory celebrations! The prime minister stripped naked, drenched with beer and uploaded to twitter in the team cabin (and, judging by the pictures, she liked it)! 34 million Thiarians, whose team has qualified for the world cup only four times since 1950, now get to experience winning against the English, of all people (given my backstory for Thiaria, that's like Scotland or Ireland beating England)!

Thanks for the congrats, everyone! I did nothing at all except design the team's outfit, but I am nevertheless eight feet tall, almighty and invincible! (Though I already was 7'10" and almighty yesterday evening at midnight, like most people here, also without any contribution of my own...). Tomorrow I'll shrink back to my usual 6'3", slightly clumsy and rather out of shape. Let's see if I still fit into my house sunday evening.

Great tournament, and many thanks to Rowdy for organizing it.

Greetings
GD

Congrats to GD and his Thiarians. GBR are proud of their team, which was cobbled together at the last minute and entered into the cup with the goal of reaching the round of 16. So close to conquering the world. There was some dissent among the team who questioned the fact that GBR had 10 shots on target but the Thiarian keeper only made 2 saves. The information will be passed onto SIFA.

Well done to Rowdy for all the hard work and organising the fun.

This has been an excellent read, thank you to Rowdy for organising this ... and frankly, if the British team aren't losing on penalties it's not a proper world cup!
