I like it , its a weird vessel , not much navy's own such a ship.

the 2x 20mm systems would be placed on the bridge wings as far i know, and probely also now will be replaced by .50cal machine guns because the RNLN replaced all 20 mm's for .50cals around 2002.
Somehow her bridge does remind me of a frigate bridge.

Well no, they have landbased testing facilities instead.
In Denmark we had Bramsnæsvig Torpedo Station. Aside from testing they also did all the torpedo maintenance. It was backed up by a true Sub Tender.
