I placed the ship exactly on the waterline, with my ships waterline of course.
So, what exactly is an open bridge? And I do have only 1 level of superstructure right?
You used template with size 1000 x 330 pixels - that's for ships that are shown without the underwater part of hull (in other words: shown only above water). But since Your ship has underwater hull shown, it needs a 1000 x 385 pixel template.
Alright, here is the updated ship.
I edited the propeller a little, and redid the rudder.
I also removed the 2nd deck, and made the 1st deck now the bridge.
That's it I think.

Enclosed bridges weren't really a thing at this time. I'd put an open bridge on top of the superstructure. It gives you a much better view and it fits with the period- Speaking of period appropriate, whip antennas are still a decade or two away at this point.

That which does not kill me has made a grave tactical error
I'll scrap the antenna then. I still have no clue as of how to implement an open bridge. I saw an example in a few replies above, but that one was a modern variant. Not sure how it applies Pre-WW1.
