Re: your Post from Monday Sept 10 2012

Those pictures of the battleship-carrier Ise c. 1944 look _excellent_ relative to the photographic record I have studied. Particularly welcome are the fine detail given of the fantail area & lower deck underneath the flight deck, and what I am interpreting as some kind of ventilation hoods at either side of the flight deck by the catapults. The platform halfway up the center support pillar in the stern, which is a searchlight platform, isn't it?--that is visible in photographs but I have not seen it well represented in many plans. (Granted, I have not purchased the Miyukikai plans, nor do I have any of Hans Lengerer's published materials, so I do not have a comprehensive view of available plans.) At first blush it appears you have not only done a beautiful job, but have improved upon some available plans!

If I find time to get back to studying my photograph set, I will of course send suggestions for improvements, if I do find them.

Thanks for the nice illustration!

and, is anyone in possession of this drawing in full view?

it would be the perfect one for the pre-conversion layout but the aft-half seems nowhere to be found.[/quote]

I think that image (with HIMJS Ise in the title) may be _Profile Morskie_ #31. I have it in a box somewhere, if so -- I'll let you know if that is correct, when I can get to it.

the other half of that drawing of IJN Ise doesn't exist on the web. I have used two year on trying to find it, then when I gave the work to BB1987 he didn't manage to find it. but at that point we had so good reference on all variant of IJN Ise that he managed to draw them all.
