Nah, they have doing it for decades and fine

They even offer chartered cruises onboard the big ice-breakers.

BTW, on a more serious note, I'm interested in those 'containers' are they a specialised type?

Yes, PB, that' s a "method" for faster load and unload a little away to ports.
