Yes, don't do that. 9 times out of 10 the proportions will be way off. Tracing is really the only way to go.

Excellent Amigo :D The only thing left is the very top of the bridge, where you should have the two pilot houses with a walkway, and above should be a compass platform with weather screens; if you look at the photo's they are clearly shown. :)
