Will sort it soon what it should read is SAR helicopters should be HAR.3 and ASW should be HAS. 1. Still tweaking a few other things too....

This is the Current Active Navy of New Cromer.

Aircraft Carriers
New Cromer's 2 CVN Cromer Class Carriers finally entered service in 2006 and 2009 after long and protracted design and build times. Built in the CDG Class size range and with help from the US, France and the UK the 2 Carriers are small but highly capable warships and can hold a full combat force of up to 48 Fighters and Helicopters. They field a mix of F/A18E/F and G Fighters and Merlin and V-22 aircraft to perform AEW, ASW and HAs operations. They have seen involvement in Libya, Egypt and Iraq and Afganiztan since there commission and have provided Coalition forces with air support on many occasions recently..

Two LPH were ordered in 1996 as part of the massive investment in Amphibious forces which also saw eventual orders for the Albion and Bay class vessels, these were to be built to the same design as the UK's HMS Ocean that, was at the time under construction, however due to the navy's increasing work load continual delays to the new CVN's and regular machinery failures on the Centaur Class carrier Cromer in 1998 whilst the first ship was under construction and the second was having its keel laid forced the decision to be taken to add ski jumps and a few other modifications to the design to allow them to operate the Harrier GR.7. The ships eventually entered service in 2002 and 2004 and allowed the now worn out Cromer to be retired in 2002. They were 2 and 3 years late and due to the late application of the updates the first was about 15% over the original budget. They served as New Cromer's only carriers till the arrival of the first CVN in 2006 and becoming operational in 2009. They are due to be replaced by 2 new multi purpose vessels in 2017/19, steel on the first of these was cut in late 2014, there are currently no future plans for these ships that will then be only 17 and 15 years old into there 25 year design life. Rumours about a possible sale or even retention minus there ski jumps as pure LPH's are rife but as yet nothing has been set in stone or hinted upon, trials in the US using US Marine Corps F35B aircraft were carried out on NCNS Mexworth but the test showed modifications to the decks would be required.
Edit:- New Cromers 2015 SDR Stated that at least one of the ships will be retained after the arrival of the New Basford class replacements and will perform purely LPH and Commando duties the cost of modifications to allow operation of the F35B prohibitive. NCNS Oxley is favourite as Mexworth is in a poorer condition and received some damage that was only temporarily repaired following and during F35 test and is likely to be decommissioned in early 2016.

Amphibious warfare vessels
New Cromer's two Albion Class Amphibious warfare ships were ordered in 1997 after long talks with the UK which at the time had just begun building HMS Albion and Bulwark. As Part of a massive investment in the upgrade of New Cromer's amphibious capabilities. They are built to the same design although New Cromer did specify a number of differences the main one being a hangar and the other the ability to carry mexi float rafts. They were built in the UK at Barrow in Furness and were delivered in 2001/2 and became fully operational in 2005. They form many tasks from flag ships to mine war fare support. They have seen use in Humanitarian aid missions, anti piracy and drug roles and have been used to transport troops and equipment to Afghanistan, Iraq and various African theatres were New Cromer has been providing all manor of military and humanitarian support.

Destroyers
New Cromer was involved in the Type 42 destroyer programme from a very early date but did not place any firm orders for ships till 1985 the lack of ASM being a major factor in the long process. New Cromer thus became the second export customer for the type after Argentina, New Cromer's vessels were based on the UK's final Batch 3 vessels but had additional strengthening and improved fire protection system following lessons learnt by the RN in the Falklands war. they entered service from 1987 to 1991 and were initially armed with no ASM only the very limited anti ship capability of Sea Dart. New Cromer Defence Systems developed the Sea Arrow based on the airframe of the Sea Dart but rocket powered and purely an Ant Ship missile with a range of 120nm it is comparable to Exocet giving the ship a much enhanced capability over there UK counterparts. The ships are due to be replaced by the Type 45/47 from 2014 but as of October 2014 despite the Type 47 destroyer Diligence and the First Type 45 Defiance entering service the Type 42's are still hard at work the fleet only recently in 2012 having received moderate overhauls....

Frigates
By the 1980's New Cromer was in desperate need of new up to date frigates, relying on 11 Type 12 Whitby and 3 Type 81 Tribals since the 1960's. The UK was the obvious choice for a solution and having looked at new frigates since the early 1970's the Type 21 had been selected. A very heavily modified design was created and an order was placed in 1983 for 6 vessels to this new design. the ships arrived from 1985 and after training and sea trials were beginning to enter commission from 1986. They performed the entire spectrum of missions from ASW duties, close in Anti Air Defence to Fleet protection and as general surface combatants. In 2014 they still form the backbone of New Cromer's frigate force and although replaced in major roles by the 4 Ex RN Type 22's in 2013 still perform a wide range on general duties. The ships have recently lost the IKARA system with ASW now being entirely Helicopter based. All of New Cromer's current frigate force is due to be replaced by the Type 26 from 2018 and the Type 21's will be the first to give way to the first Type 26's when they arrive.

4 Ex RN Type 12l Leander Class frigates, Charybdis, Jupiter, Scylla and Hermione joined the fleet in 1991, 1994, 1995 and 1995 respectively all were RN Seawolf conversions and received extensive but controversially costly refits before being commissioned. Their purchase was highly controversial as the ship were fairly old and needed a costly refit, also apart from 20mm guns they were all missile armament. And to top this of they had Exocet and as the Navy was already using two different types of anti-ship missile already Harpoon and Sea Arrow adding a Third was seen as a costly enterprise. By 2013 they had been relegated to anti piracy work and had lost the Exocets and the Sea Wolf was also removed. They are in the process of decommissioning and are due to be replaced by the first 4 of the new Neptune class OPV's now entering there sea trials.

In 2012 4 Ex RN Type 22 Batch 3 frigates were purchased and refitted at Devonport Dockyard UK and entered commission in 2013. This was the third attempt at purchasing second hand type 22’s and New Cromer had lost out on the batch 1’s in the 1990’s the batch 2’s in the early 2000’s and finally secured these in 2013. Originally these were supposed to see the retirement of the Type 12l Leander's, as this along with the Type 42’s loosing Sea Arrow was supposed to save cost and reduce the navy to just 1 ASM, Harpoon. This did not happen though and the leanders remained in service till late 2014 as patrol cutters on anti piracy and drug smuggling duties. The Type 22's fulfill a full spectrum of duties including Flag ship roles. The 4 Type 22's are due to retire in 2025 and will be replaced by the Type 26 GCS.

Submarines
Built in 1969 these submarines were the answer to New Cromer's ambition for an independent Nuclear Deterrent as at the time New Cromer's relations with the Chinese were very poor and when the Chinese gained there first Nuclear weapons it was seen by New Cromer to be a must have deterrent of its own. they were built as direct follow on's to the RN resolution class Vessels Vigil being the former Ramillies. modifications were implemented though with a number of innovations due to be fitted to the RN Swiftsure class boat incorporated into these two vessels. They at first carried the Polaris A3 this was superseded by the Trident C1. the boats were unable to be converted to house the D5 and as the US removed it's Trident 1's in the mid 1990's New Cromer was the last operator. Unable to field enough missiles to fully arm both boats by the early 2000's the decision was taken to convert the two into combined SSBM/SSGN and reduce the missile compliment to 8 and have 4 missile VLS system installed in the other 8 silos. The boats are due to retire in 2017 and will along with the Churchill's be replaced by 5 Astute Class SSN's.

The Churchill Class attack Submarines joined New Cromer's fleet in the early 1990's and replaced the Oberon Class vessels in service since 1959. the 3 EX RN ships were given extremely costly and complex overhauls when they arrived in New Cromer including very costly and Complicated due to there design Nuclear Refuels and Reactor over hauls. there purchase was highly controversial and interest was shown in the Upholder Class but the Navy had ambitions for a fully Nuclear submarine fleet and at first shown interest in buying a follow on order of Trafalgar class submarines from the UK. no price could be arranged and at almost 900million a boat in 1990 it was deemed to expensive. it should be noted though in the end that figure was almost surpassed by the cost of the Churchill Overhauls.
