Thank you, Karle. You're most generous!

David: you're most welcome! It's a pleasure having friends such as you! - and it's a goodie to know that all three of the class will be done now!

Okay Spike, Bezo and Karle,

I've removed the boats--Ari were those the correct one?--and the walks on the mast to clear away the clutter.

Here is the addition of the second bridge: correct me if I'm wrong

Ayayay...the steam launch is the 56" for the Royal Navy! Use the boats I've supplied (with suitable grey re-coloring, of course!) I could try and see if I can make sense of the ships' boat complement and draw the relevant boats. I also wonder, considering that NM was fairly late in commission whether she actually shipped the forward most 5"-guns, or whether they were plated over before commissioning. (Pictures appear to confirm my suspicion that NM was, indeed, commissioned w/o the forward pairs of 5" guns!)
As for the bridge, it appears to look ok. Maybe I'd tone the floor line down somewhat. Also the pilot house section appears to have only two side windows, not three as you've drawn.

Are you sure there are windows at the back of the upper structure? On the image it looks like people, not windows. Also, you should remove the line between the windows and the roof, and add a canvas railing on the top along with a rangefinder. You have it on the Tennessee and the California as well as my Colorado. The platforms for the searchlights should also have a canvas covering. You should also remove the hull mounted casemates, they were removed shortly after she was commisioned.

Yes, Karle is, indeed, right, they are people showing! Not windows! However, there were, in all likelihood a door and maybe a couple of scuttles. Also, while you're at it, do the range markings on No. 2 and No.3 turrets! As for the small sail cutter on davits, amidships, there's a far more suitable in the USN boat sheet for the period 1933-present. It's a 32' foot cutter.

I Agree. I think this is more like what we are seeing in the photo.

I still think there most likely are windows or portholes in the room behind the upper bridge

And taking another look . . . all of the windows might be open in this photo :?: :!:

I am thinking more like this: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/939 ... sssing.png

Also, you have used the brighter color for one part, and the hull color for the back part, both should be the standard superstructure shade. This is also very prominent in the 1933 NM.

These are the four boat-types most visible: [ img ]

Well drawing side by side with a scaled photo yields this version of the bridge and foremast structure:

Fire as you bear. :D
