The next step for the Lisenian fighter force was the
Hispano-Oriental C.10 Halcón, which replaced the Dewoitine D.21 and A.6 Barrilete. This small, maneuverable fighter was the mainstay of the interceptor squadrons until the outbreak of the Second World War. Designed and built entirely in Lisenia by H.O., it provided the country's aero industry with much needed experience in the design of higher performing aircraft. Although still far from being world class, it paved the way for much better aircraft in the future.
