Hi in order to clean up the thread viewtopic.php?f=18&t=5178 I will keep my alternative ship separate.


My story is that Ukraine (and the US in secret) try to spite Russia (and Poland cant refuse as the US is providing the kit free of charge ).

So Poland rebuilds Ukrayina with mainly US kit (using as much as possible stuff already used in the 2 OHP ships it already uses so as to cut down on maintenance ).




Rodondo having had a look into the weight saved (I got -278.58t just for the guns+missiles(without launchers couldn't find weights)+torps+ helis(without hangars)), My thoughts are that I have loads to play with ! . (and accommodation blocks are not going to be to heavy.)

all the weight you lose, you need to compensate with ballast. due if the vessel is getting to light outside it's design parameter, the hull can be unstable.

I do not think Poland needs her, even with Soviet/Russian weapons. Poland needs only 2-3 frigates,several corvettes and perhaps some missile boats together with mine warfare ships ( which has already from real world) and all nessecary auxiliary vessels. If you are love with Slava Class however,you can try to modernise her with newer Russian weapons.

Just to be totally clear I DO NOT THINK THIS IS SENSABLE OR WOULD EVER HAPPEN but it was my try at a more likely version of the viewtopic.php?f=18&t=5178 thread.
(The ship is - to old - in a bad condition - uses none NATO parts - to big for Poland).
I don't intend to be underweight (just swap weapons for hangar/boats/stores and accommodation).(maybe also reengine her with CODAG as will need new Gas ones anyway unless we are happy to use Russian ones ? Steam is old as well.)
