what would you have your helicopters do. I suppose you want to use US helicopters? you can look at what the USN used for that task at the given time era.

I mean the HH- 60J, CH- 60B, SH- 60F, HH- 60H, and the MH- 60S can do anti sub warfare but the CH-53E super Stallion can do a lot of other things also.

then just use the same helicopter like they use on US Destroyers, they are used in ASW (Anti Submarine Operation).

The SH60-series. can also do similar work as the CH-53 but at an smaller scale. what yu have to consider is a helicopter that is small and easy to move, or big and heavy.

but the main thing an CH-53 is create to use when you want to troop a loot of soldier. but for an helicopter that have main task to protect the ship, the need of troop capability isn't that big.

Never mind on what I said about the Bofors 57mm gun being stupid. I just saw a video of the gun kicking tiny boat butt.

as your stealth phalanx gun looks now, it looks like it
- cannot rotate
- cannot angle up very far
- it's radars cannot see
- it cannot be reloaded
- is not very stealthy, although slightly better then the original.
