To what Miho said, assuming this LHD is inspired by Improved San Giorgio class http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Giorgi ... sport_dock , I would say 5x30t helos and 440 determined and well trained aussies might be enough in most cases :D

I wonder if it would be worth having the ability to carry a pair of LCMs on the forward deck like the Kanimbla's? These make me think of a more capable version of those ships (and perhaps a closer fit to what the RAN wanted too)
