Hello again!
About time to do something about the embarassing under-representation of Kaiser Wilhelm's personal toy fleet in the Bucket! The Wiesbaden-class were the first german cruisers mounting 150mm guns from the beginning and as such probably the best and most balanced cruisers to fight at Jutland. Did not help the class ship much when she was fired at by half the Grand Fleet...
SMS Frankfurt at Jutland.
SMS Frankfurt at the end of the war. The searchlight platforms were rearranged, and the four 52mm/55 flaks were replaced by two 88/45s.
SMS Wiesbaden as she looked when lost in the battle of Jutland 1916.
Wiesbaden's crest was easy enough; for Frankfurt's, I am quite out of my depth (all those feathers on that eagle...). I hope our heraldry experts can provide a suitable crest.
Greetings
GD
