That is my fault I missed that in your original post with the helicopter.

Since ASW worked for Allouette III and B204 Huey, I'm sure it would work for this one too.

Btw. nice train liveries, though I think they would benefit from some text (company name?) on them - in nice lettering - besides just logo. And I'd use some lighter shades (several) on undercarriage, to make it look less like a big dark blob. ;)

I have not change anything in trains undercarriage, the color is the same of British ones. The first livery is based on real one (AEG/LEW DMU), third is a blue version of it and the last one is also real, based on Siemens H561 Class Locomotive. Second seem somewhat Russian, so perhaps I will delete it.

Real Hellenic trains have just the logo and Class numbering, plus manufacturer plate and other information such as length, weight, overhaul date etc just above the undercarriage. These are too small to show on this scale, even at non-trainbucket scale I used for my ASEA Electric Locomotives. However I can show a "magnified" view of this information.

Another revised design, the OPV Zeus Mk3/HCG 680 Class. Two of these large patrol vessels built for Hellenic Coast Guard in mid 1980's, named from the two first commanders of Coast Guard in mid war period. Due to its size, the 680 Class is referred sometimes as "HCG frigates" by local press and TV news. Designed to accommodate one AS332C or two AS-365H Dauphin, the hangar is much larger than that of Messimvria/Kyrenia frigates and feature also a stern space for a 12m anti-smuggling vessel or a 11m RHIB. During current Atalanta mission, HCG 684 Rear Admiral Christofis deploys the newer USV of Hellenic Coast Guard, the Tethys Mk1 for final testing and the HC-60 UAV helicopter.
Armament is one OTO Melara 76mm (85 rpm), twin OTO Breda Dardo 40mm and twin single 20mm remote control turrets, plus two water canons.

Note: Do not think that HCG deploys AS332C in Atalanta, the Super Puma is too expensive to use there. Usually, the Dauphin or the AH-139 is the helicopter on board HCG patrol vessels off Somalia. Also, because Coast Guard crew always try to be within the limits of UN Agreements, they use the water canons to sink pirate boats and arrest them by on board vessels. Canons are used only if necessary.

I have to ask, if you're going to use a twin engined helo in the same class as the Alouette III and use the same equipment as used on it, why not just use the Alouette III? Sud Aviation certainly never had any issues selling production licenses and it sure beats spending time and resources developing a near clone on your own.

Yes, this was the problem and the HC-120 ASW project never proceed. Besides, this helicopter was too large for use in Gearing Class and this is the reason the Navy purchase Alouette III. Do not forget that a Alouette II clone also developed locally, the HC-240/270. The HC-120/160 was not very expensive to develop as it was actually a Agusta A.102 modified for twin Artouste. Total about 60 were built, some gone to Navy and most at Security Forces (Police, Gendarme, Forest Guard, Frontier Guard). Army Aviation evaluate it (as HC-160) but received in very low price HU-1D/H form USA in 1970's (~140). Navy withdrawn HC-120 in late 1970's for the AB-212 and remaining airframes auctioned off. Security Forces withdrawn them also until 1990's, some survive in private hands.

What about the 680 Class OPV? Frigate will have the same basic appearance plus missiles and 127mm main gun.

And the frigates now:

Timeline is that Messimvria Class built in 1970-1973, Cyrenia 1982-1983 and last were the 680 Class in 1986-1987. Obviously, first two ships are 1970's version, while last modern.

P.S The Sea Falcon SAM needs rethought/redesign, any idea of which other weapon to look? Supposed to has beam riding guidance (SAM-8A) and SARH (SAM-8B/C).

Could this frigate exported in countries of Latin America or South Africa in 1970's, perhaps early 1980's? The ASW/ASuW variants, also I think that the Adis I should also exported as a major weapon of the ships. Also Egypt, Libya, Algeria etc.
