Superb work, nice to see Bismarck being given the maomatic treatment.

Hello,

I finished my last two drawings of "Bismarck".

They show her during "Unternehmen Rheinuebung" ("Operation Rhine-Exercise") - "Bismarcks" first and last combat sortie.
I suppose most - if not all - of you know the story, so I spare you the details...

The first picture shows "Bismarck" on her way from Gdynia (Gotenhafen) to Norway during the first part of the operation.
Note that the light AA-guns were slightly updatet with added 2cm guns (quads on the conning tower and Army-mounts aft).

The last picture depicts how "Bismarck" probably looked during the Battle of the Denmark Strait and during her own last stand against superior British forces.

Thanks for looking!

Luverley! Awesome level of detail again.

One small point: would the painted-over white sections of the camo scheme not be lighter than the rest of the hull instead of darker?

This is really fine drawing...and "finaly" could be also in place...quite long did the bucket go without one of the world's most iconic warships.

I am wondering, why did they give the gun barrels another colour?

Excellent job, maomatic! I. too, praise you for the attention to detail. I spotted Lütjens' rank flag at the main top, and that alone adds a certain drama and personalization to this tragic ship!

Marvellous work.
It's been a wait but its been worth it. I just hope you do Tirpitz as well, I know you would do that ship justice too with your fine research and depiction of the various camouflage schemes over time.
