I've looked to see if the HMS Ben-my-Chree was done, and I've stumbled upon a bit of an oddity. The only reference on the forum to it was by ALVAMA in 2011, saying it was "next up". It doesn't appear on the mainsite and I've been unable to find it on the forum. Not a single post regarding the ship since that single post in 2011. Was it ever completed, or even started?

It was never done, and as it seems that ALVAMA is no longer interested in making it. You can Pm him if you want, or send an e-mail through his web-site.

Since it just so happens that I'm chatting online with ALVAMA right now, I can give You His answer - it was started but in the meantine a HDD crash wiped it out and later Alex lost his interest in ever finishing it (so You - or someone else - are free to do it instead).

HMS Ben-my-Chree is the most hilarious name for a ship since HMCS Bras D'or.

Due to issues with finding proper references, I'm taking this off my worklist. There's a book in a "Seaplane Carriers of the Royal Navy" series about this ship, but I don't have it. There are a number of good photographs, but they're at odd angles; so I'll leave this ship to someone with more experience working with limited reference drawings.

Edit: We're back in business!

Wow Bombhead, where did you find that? I couldn't find anything approaching that quality.
