Since Golly and I are both Scandinavians we share an innate love for our countries' navies. I was pleased to se that he had made the Tre Kronor-class bot as originally built and as modernized. However, I've been frantically waiting for an update of the modernized version, so here's my go at it, with Golly's blessing:

It's the sole, still fitted-out HMS Göta Lejon, that I chose, since her sister, HMS Tre Kronor, was already mothballed, and, in 1964 was stricken from the navy's list. The GL, as she was oftentimes referred to is here shown just prior to hers being repainting in a dazzle camouflage and prepared for her last fleet problem, in 1963. She features the massive Dutch-made LW-02 air-search radar on the foremast, the British-made Type 978 surface-search radar on the top platform on the mainmast, and below it the likewise British-manufactured Type 277Q height finder and target acquisition radar. She also has a navigational radar of unknown origin at the second platform on her foremast.

If this update is agreeable, I shall do the 1964 version also, with the dazzle-camouflage. A note: the ship is not flying a pennant at the main topmast, as she is formally laid-up, but the 1964 version will undoubtedly feature that.

Nice as I anticipated...
Few points spots on my eye though, The mainradar should be outlined with Black, not dark grey á la Psilander style.
I recently redrew the Bofors 40mm mounts used on this ship:

so the ancient US twin water cooled mounts should go rest in peace in the drawing graveyard :)

Shall we see the Chilean camoflage version as well?

LOL I can reuse all those items! Strange that i missed out on them! And, for the Chilean one, that'll be basically the Swedish 1964-70 version, but with pertinent mods. And thanks Golly for your approval. It means a lot! Oh,the reason why I did outline the LW-02 the way I did, a la Psilander, was to emphasise the fact that it was painted in the same haze gray as the ship. But that's always an easy remedy...just wanted to explain my purpose...

Updated with the kind suggestions of Golly, and with a slight alteration in the armament layout. Also the LW-02 is now properly oulined...

You're still using the American Bofors.
The prop guard, rocket launchers and the anchor also needs shading.

Is there any well-drawn Swedish Bofors 57 mm open mount as these ships had on SB? I haven't noticed, but I can wrong. As for the shading, those are quite trifle but redily done, so, I might wait for the requested advice before amending the drawing yet another time.

Have taken the constructive criticism to my heart and dug a little further, realizing that I actually do possess some images of the GL in a close-up, plus additional drawings. So, the Bofors 57 mm mounts is now solved and some additional changes and additions. Hopefully this shall be the final revision.

Well, Ashley, in this case the Tre Kronor-class was heavily influenced by contemporary Italian CL-designs. However, in comparision it can be concluded that the Swedish ended up with a far more efficient design than the Italians with most of their Condottieres. In fact, only the last sub-class; the Garibaldis stood up wholly against foreign competition. It was intended originally to fit the Tre Kronors with 9-152 mm in three triples, but weight considerations compelled the Swedes to settle for only one triple, at the foc'sle, and two twins aft. Still the ships could present a very respectable broadside, especially since the gun-mountings were of compartively modern design. It's a shame, that the Royal Swedish Navy had to part with these fine ships so prematurely; the Tre Kronor was laid up in 1961, and scrapped three years' later, the Göta Lejon conducted her last excersise in that year and was immediately upon return mothballed, only to be sold to Chile in 1970. There she lasted till 1987...the very last Swedish cruiser ever...
