Hello all. I'm fairly new to the bucket. I came her because I liked to draw fictional ships with paint. I liked to try to make my ships look like a real ship that someone had taken a real picture off. I've spent the last year or so learning the Shipbucket standard and now I've used that to make my other pictures more realistic.

This is my latest shipbucket drawing (can be found in the personal design forum) the USS William S. Benson

This is my other drawing (photo real style??)

I realize some of the systems of board don't make sense with some of the other systems on board, so I will set the story a little bit. The CNO class started entering service about 1992 or so. The picture you see know would be current with up-grades. I don't want to get into a discussion about what should be on this ship and what shouldn't be in this forum. Here I would just like to discuss the actual drawing itself. If you think it looks real, viable and believable. This drawing is nowhere near complete yet. I'd say its about 50% complete. I will post updates as I progress if there is an interest in that.

Thank you all for looking, and I would love to hear comments and suggestions

fair seas

Joe

Personally, I really, really like it. The only thing I would change is the forecastle - remove the balwarks.

I think you need sto soften the boarders on some of the aft superstructure between the faces and the sky, but overall an awesome bit of work! Also, center the DESRON markings!

I... I'm blown away. How did you do these? How long does it take you?

I think your drawing is fantastic and I to wonder how it is done and how long it takes.

And I agree with Easty. I think you should remove the balwarks on the forecastle.
