The Borodino was the lead ship of her class of pre dreadnought battleships. Named after the Battle at Borodino in 1812, the ship was completed after the start of the Russian/Japanese war in 1904. Borodino was assigned to the second Pacific squadron in the far east after it's completion to break the Japanese blockade at Port Arthur. The ship was sunk in the battle of Tsushima on the 27th May 1905, due to several explosions . sadly there was only one survivor out of a total of 885 officers and enlisted man.
