I wondered how a German Version of the M Class Frigates would look like. So I designed this Corvette sized patrol Vessel for my Germany post WWII AU.

I'm seeing a rather top heavy hull with a rudder that doesn't fit the era (Which is?) With the hull penetration of the 76mm and torpedoes its looking to be a cramped hull

I don't understand where all new beginners manage to get those ridiculous old parts from, since on the main page there are only updated parts and the same in the forum.

When I am kitbashing I use the parts from the drawings I use.
OK maybe I should have mentioned that first, but at this stage of the discussion I am more interested in coments to the concept and the layout of the desing than in coments if the parts are actual or outdated. please don't get me wrong I take that point and I am awere that I have to replace all the parts when I eventualy finish the drawing. But in that stage I am satisfied with the design as it is for my personal use and I am just working in the concept and layout suggestions. I will work in the new Parts when I am in mood for that Kind of work.

ok the first Point I got is that the boat is to short

OK I think I have fixed the length problem and the ship looks more stable now.

By that I have worked the new Parts in. I hope this design is now workable.

just an check list.

- updated gun: looks like you did.
- updated Sea sparrow launcher an missile: yes and missile doesn't look updated.
- Harpoon launcher: wrong launcher/old launcher/not updated.
- RAM CIWS: looks updated
- Helicopter: old and bad version... there should be an better one somewhere...
- propeller: that propeller is an big nono. that propeller should have been taken outside and shoot!

one thing I am thinking about is that one of the directors (illuminator) is what I think is an bad position, now the mast next to the funnel and the aft radar is in the way for it. (have you ever tried to see trough a wall!)

Looks much better, but i still would either design my own props or go hunt for a drawing with different kinds of props.

the Mk 48 launchers on the mod 2 are horribly placed, just place them on top of the main deck as the karel doorman class has ;)
note that you have the USN Mk 75 gun, not the oto 76.

I have changed the hangar and the gun I hope the OTO Melara sheet ace posted in 2010 is the most actual on the bucket.
