Hi everybode. I'm a recruit. I don't know how to design ship (tools to design). Can anybody help me with this?

Depends on what period of ships you are interested in designing. For ships from the ironclad era to the end of the gun era, Springsharp is very useful for testing ideas and see if it actually works.

you don't need that program at all to draw something for Shipbucket!

but a similar program to what he posted is delftship, they update it more often. http://www.delftship.net/

I'm still trying to work out what #2 is... :D

Define "design". If you try to add *some* detail then you will rapidly need to add *much* detail. That being said, I think there is scope for some general guidelines on producing feasible ship designs. With those, you can do it all in Excel. Or if you are ancient like me, you can always do it by hand...
