Lookie good.

Just an artistic question: Is there a special reason for all the space between the side and top views?

Nope, I just started drawing them that far apart. I'll arrange them closer together once I get to the point where I put it on a template

Nice little thing...thougth I would suggest a deckhouse around the B position gun to bring more traditional looks to it.

I've changed the guns a bit after I realised I'd botched the turret ring completely, added a bit of deckhouse forward and changed some details amidship

More work on the front view, some correction on the top and side view and I've begun a stern view

Yet the result is worth of the effort, and I especially like how the front and aft views are turning out.

Nice progress. An interesting design, not exactly run-of-the-mill but not ugly either.
Is it just me, but the forward and stern views make the ship look very top-heavy given the narrow beam.

That superstructure is what makes it look top heavy given its slab sided nature. It's accurate for RN and a number of other European Navy cruisers however for the WW2 period. I personally would either lower the superstructure one deck and go with just the bridge above (perhaps even open bridge?) or step in the upper deck to reduce the weight.
