Thanks JHS for the info on the 88mm gunshields, never realized that. They are however almost completely masked by boats on the drawings; I doubt if one could see any changes.

The 88mm gun casemates under the bridge are still there on the Jutland version (the one with the red funnel) of Derfflinger, but without guns, just as you said. They were completely removed during the extensive repairs after Jutand.
