I'm guessing the funnel stuff is off to the right of it? That's part of the funnel, and is on Novice's original drawing. The double black lines on the lifeboats are - I'm guessing - shading and are also on the original drawing.

Well, it's not part of the funnel, I think it's a ventilation shaft.

Referring to the double black lines around the lifeboats
Seems that I had made a slight mistake there. I usually make this by using a black line and a very dark gray joining it, to avoid any double black lines. As for the pixels thrush, this is not on my original drawing.
I also think that Emperor had done a very nice job on these ships, and I have plans for more merchant ships which could be re-drawn as auxiliaries of the IJN.
