ok, so I've been busy with the holidays and I've been playing around with my drawings. I've done a top view and I know its not perfect and I'm still working on it, but was wondering if anyone has comments or suggestions. Also the twin MK-71 is for another project and I forgot to get it out of there.



the following is one of my "just for fun" drawings as it has the non-standard railings and, well...as you can see, colored sky and water. This is how I display my drawings on my own computer and I kind of like it. This is also my NTU version of CSG-52 probably about desert storm time period, hence the lo-vis hull number



Also as I have changed the bow of my ship because I find it more aesthetically pleasing

As usual, all comments and suggestions welcome

Agree with erzo394,this cuiser has a really awesome look!

I'd personally reduce the dimension of your fore Phalanx sponsons and bridge wings (even moving the former inside the beam you should still have a full forward arc of fire). I do concur that she looks really good, and I'll leave any other technical comment to those who have more knowledge than me

A completely unimportant detail...

Ships underway hoist their flag on the mast vice the stern flagstaff, the distiction lets those viewing a ship to know if you are underway or morred/at anchor at a glance. You also do not fly a jack while underway, but will have a commissioning penent just above the ensign which is probably too small to display in SB scale.

The flag you have on the stern at the moment is indicative of a holiday ensign, the normal US engisn flown of the flagstaff is somewhat smaller (l don't know the exact size off the top of the head.

US ships also have a massive battle ensign (30' x 19' I seem to rememeber, but don't trust that) that they can fly from the mast during battle for greater positive identification but it is basically a parade flag for homecomings and fleet week and the like.

thank you all for the complements Shipright, I am aware of the flags, and I don't like it when people have the union jack and the flag flying from the mast. is one or the other, either you're in port or you underway. I did use the big flag in the purpose it was intended, basically a celebration flag. I didn't even think about changing to when I changed the background colors. It does so "underway" a lot more that the white background and I will fix that. thank you for noticing.

Here is the latest update of the top view. was wondering how you all feel about my boats. I like all except for the motor whale boat and I shall try to do a better representation. Also, I am very proud of my bulwarks for the break water, what do you all think?

Amazing work although I would ditch the Sea Sprite and replace it with a Sea King.
