Here's a little something i've been working on, still got some details to add to each ship but here a sneak peak......

Here is MV Hurst Point and Hartland Point 2 of the 4 used almost exclusively by the MOD the others being Anvil Point and Eddystone.

[ img ]
Next is Longstone one of two ships the other Beachy Head on long term hire to Transfennica but available at a moments notice to the MOD although both have seen little MOD use lately and are likely to be sold at the next SDR.
[ img ]
And a what if had the MOD bought the ships instead of chartering them, would they have received hull numbers consecutive to the Bays and named RFA xxxxxx , still got to mess with this one a bit.
[ img ].

the ships are crewed by civilian, merchant crews but they are enlisted into the Royal Navy Reserve to ensure crew in time of war...

I know these are WIP, but I think some comments are already in order.
- why not the standard blue colour for the windows?
- the paint strips on the structure are just that, paint strips. no need to outline those in black. the same goes for the funnel
- the hull shading does not represent the actual hull. you've taken it from this, I suppose: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-6xxaToFc0k4/T ... e+view.gif ?
it does however represent an knuckle in at least the above the waterline hull. this is currently not shown.
- the bridge seems not have been entirely accurate in representation on your drawings.
- pictures show the underwater hull, or at least the waterline, to be of an different colour.
- http://www.fsg-ship.de/103-1-Strat-ocea ... orter.html this might help a bit....
- I also found this :P http://z11.invisionfree.com/shipbucket/ar/t998.htm might help as well.
- the lifeboat on the stern (the small one) is hinged in an david
- the crane looks a bit off, you might want to check it's size with pics
- the propeller looks flimsy, or at least the shaft does. I think it lightly the strut is bigger and there are some more supports (or this one is thicker). the bow thruster looks small as well.

other then the above, I only think they look a bit bland, which most likely will see fixing in the next update, I suppose :P

Yes still got a bit to do.

1. The windows have now been fixed and will be different soon.
2. Black lines on paint strips will also go, these were my guides as to were the colours change just forgot to recolour them.
3. Haven't done anything with hull yet shape is out at stern and shading needs doing.
4. Bridge needs complete redux.
5. Under water hull could probably be lighter as for colour anvil points hull is black but rest are rust red/bauxite ish.... I am toying with lighter green for hull I think I'm way to dark, just every picture I have has different lighting conditions some look dark, some look almost emerald green and in a few they are quite light. and might go for more contrast on shading to better show how abrupt angle changes are. As for knuckle at rear it is there in shading just not outlined yet.
The other things I'm dealing with slowly as for blandness they are a bit slab sided with little detail. But the stern and superstructure tops need details.

Thanks for the advice though all helps.....

still wrong window color. we do operate with and standard window color in SB, something we have from the old days.

I've edited my original post hopefully ironed out a few niggles, and i've done a bit more to my What if version. Here is Anvil Point following here visit to Gdansk Shiprepair Yard "Remontowa" in September 2012 most changes bar hull colour were internal but i've included her here to show the diferent colour hull.
