Hi,

I did a kitbash of the US FFG 1 Class and the german F120 Koeln Class. It is an escort vessel I planed for my alternate History German Navy scenario.

The forward gun and Mk 16 box launcher are way too close for comfort. If you really want ASROC I'd just ditch the gun.

that's a lot of stuff on an relatively small hull. what is the powerplant? it looks like single shaft dual gas turbine....
keep an eye on deck penetration. for example, I think the gun will interfere with the sonar space, and the Mk 22 that might penetrate engine space or the prop shaft.
I doubt the depth of the hull is enough to keep up with the strenght required for this vessel. your ship has a lot more weapons from the brooke then the Koln, while the brooke is much heavier you here have an hull much closer to that of the koln.

keep an eye on the fact that the brooke and koln were drawn years apart and thus might have parts that are completely mismatching.

Thanks for all the comments,

I decided to redesign this ship.
Now I use the Brooke hull and just parts of the superstrugture and the gun of the Köln class.
I will post the new version soon.

But eventualy here it comes

This is a 2 shaft CODAG-Ship is has the simliar powerplant to the Köln Class but with bigger Gasturbines.
It was build by a consortium of HDW Blom und Voss and Bremer Vulcan with assistance of the US military assistance programm. It entered Service in 1965, 4 years before the Charles F Adams Class derivate of Z103.

Much better, with (what looks like) space for everything.

only a few comments now:
- keep in mind that there are 5 years between the 2 ships. there might be some differences in requirements and designs.
- check for latest parts. the M 45, SPS-10, sea sprite, and propeller could use an update (and the abovementioned gun drawing, of course) and for all new parts are drawn (M45 in the dutch parts sheet thread, SPS-10 in USN systems, sea sprite I would have to look up, propeller can best be found to see an more recent drawing of an comparable ship)
- the air intakes for the more powerful gas turbines would be larger as well. don't know if you changed that already.
- the underwater hull might benefit from some updates, right now it looks almost exactly as an generic. keep in mind the machinery spaces, the stabiliser may not penetrate them.
