As I've said elsewhere, beautiful drawing! But I still think the Yamato isn't very good-looking, particularly compared to her predecessors and contemporaries...

Stupendous work Alex.

Not sure what words to use other than its one of the greatest of shpbucket drawings yet acheived. I agree on the need for the original design with the midships 6.1in. And you've got my blessing to redo the Shinano too.

I can see why you've used the outboard facing 25mm mounts but strictly speaking they should be fore and aft as usual practice, although I can see that would have cluttered up the drawing a fair bit.

There seems to be a few places on the upper part of the conning tower that lacks shading and also a couple places that hasn't been filled out with colour
