The only major weakness was the inability for the 102mm gun to deal with modern air threats (this mount, designed by early 1930's, was clearly too slow (in speed elevation/movement terms) againt last generation of soviet piston engine aircrafts and early generation of soviet jets aircrafts)
The 4"/40 Mark XVI was a pre-WWII design, and IMO less capable than the US 5"/38. I believe the West German Navy replace some of their Mk XVI mounts on some fromer RN ships with the French 100mm M1955. The newer French mount had a much higher rate of fire.
