The Hakodate class is a series of guided missile destroyers built from 1995-1999, and was purposed to replace the aging Shikaoi class DDG. A total of 4 units were successfully built. Based on the Kidd class, the class focuses on anti-aircraft warfare.

The Kusanagi class is the newest class of guided missile destroyers currently serving the Ezo Navy. Built as a stealth and heavier version of the South Korean Yi-Sunsin class, all 6 units were built from 2005-2012.

All units saw action in the 2010 Sea of Japan War between Ezo and North Korea, firing their Tomahawks against coastal and inland targets in North Korea.

old parts usage in this one is awesome... no. get you'r correct parts in the "Parts Sheets Discussion"

on the kusanagi class you have put you'r VLS in a position where it wold penetrate down in to the hull. and even the South Korean Yi-Sunsin class have only one VLS on the forward deck.

In Hakodate Class you need to change the front funnel with those of DDG De La Penne and put a correct Mk41 VLS at front deck.Otherwise she is nice. Also try to replace the Mk41 with a Mk26.

The Kusanagi class is a heavier version of the Yi-Sunsin class and is fitted with another 2 VLS.

the main thing and most important thing is that you don't have the space for an VLS next to the funnel due to you'r engine room and other things like... top heavy.

to fit an VLS:

1. need space for it, a lot of it.
2. the deck the VLS is standing on must be reinforced, depending on the size of an VLS: an reinforced deck can take up from 10% of the deck space (in height) to close to 50% of it.
3. Then you need heat protection, that will take some space to.
4. then you need space for the engines, and they need a lot of space. It's not like an engine in a car. Her you can walk around it, over it and some time under it.

I would say that you can calculate that there will go approx 1 deck or less just for reinforcing and heat protection under the VLS. the VLS need approx (depending how it's mounted and what type of Mk41-VLS) 2 and a half to 3 deck height. the engine room needs form 2 deck to 4 deck or more of space. that give us approx: 7-8 deck. then you need to add in the keel and the space around it. that is another deck to the list.
This is the size of an Mk-41 VLS. bigger than you think:

The Navy bought 4 units of Oliver Hazard Perry class frigates from US in 1997. The 4 units were locally-upgraded from 2004-2006, and were incorporated with AEGIS system.

That upgraded OHP looks interesting, given that the Mk. 13 was replaced with Mk. 41 VLS. Given the ship's beam it could fit a 16-cell Mk. 41 only.
