Redondo,
I left the underwater hull clean deliberately to focus the eye on everything above the waterline. I decided that's the important detail on this drawing and let's face it, there's a lot of eye candy up there.

And:
I wasn't happy with the coppering line-work. At SB Scale viewing distances the seams would likely be invisible. I was trying to define the hull shape using that line-work at first but it came out funny, Vector line-work at this scale does weird things when pixelated.
