Problem with little hulls is there's little margin for change, something over 300-400t would be possibly the smallest I'd think possible for such a conversion.

So far I like this AU and where its heading and will be following it :)

The hulls of the Cho class are wood which given the vintage would most likely be rotted unless stored in museum conditions.

The Navy recieved 6 units of Auk class minesweepers from the US Navy in 1965, as part of the FMS. 6 units recieved modifications on 1967, and were decommissioned in 1992.

The converted minesweeper has torpedo tubes but no sonar! Maybe a towed sonar may do. This reminds me of the Auk minesweepers in Philippine service when they carried Mk. 32 torpedo tubes and Mk. 44 torpedoes.

The Navy recieved 6 units of Charles Lawrence class APD from US in 1967. All units were retrofitted with new weapons in 1975, and were repurposed as "auxiliary corvettes", designed for ASW warfare. 6 units were struck in 1997, and were decommissioned thereafter.

In 1945, Ezo nationalists fighting against Japanese forces aboard a US submarine chaser captured 2 Ha-101 submarines at Hakodate Bay. They were planned to be scuttled, however, they were formally transferred to the Ezo Navy in 1948, becoming the first Asian nation to operate a submarine after the war. 2 units, eventually experiencing ballast and engine problems, were decommissioned in 1969.

The Navy recieved 2 Gato class submarines from US in 1955. They served the Navy until 1975, when they were phased out of service.
