It's not, which is why the Spanish operated Harriers off them.

As do I, something like a modernized Majestic was like the smallest useful operator IIRC of the A4

Might want to raise the hangar and shift the Mk11 to the front of the hangar to allow more hangar space

Also you might want to reconsider the Shikaoi's Weapon Alpha aft, seeing that you have ASROC which came in service 1961, which is vastly superior system in ASW.

ASROC launcher replaced with a Tartar SAM launcher..

The Mk11 launcher on ships were later incorporated to fire RIM-66 Standard SAMS.

What you've done there is replaced possibly the best ASW weapon of the time instead of the outdated Alpha, which was a pretty old concept

Hmmm, where is the required fire control radar for the Tartar and SM1?

also, weapon alpha is an huge weapon, so I doubt the deck pen will fit there.

Oddly enough, the problem isn't one of fundamental size, but of top-weight - the Independence CVLs just don't have the margins needed to take the refit that you would need to operate A-4s. Perversely enough, the Commencement Bay CVEs might have the margins to get both an angled deck and to fly A-4s.

But the question come back to operability, the lift would be hard pressed to fit anything larger than a A4 if not a A4 as well as added trouble of hangar size and shape (mainly width)
