interesting. it is clearly meant to be an opponent to the Thales I-mast, the design is similar but all systems seem to be different. (but with the same or similar purposes)

I wonder what kind of phased array air search radar will be used, altough I think it will be based on the Kronos AESA radar. Anyways, I read in another forum that it is a rip-off of the Thales I-Mast!

Here is the brochure for the Unimast family. Like the Thales I-Mast, it comes in various sizes, the Unimast-300, Unimast-200 and Unimast-100. The Unimast-300 uses a fixed version of the Selex MFRA radar, the AESA version of EMPAR, and is BMD capable. The Unimast-200 uses a fixed version of the the Selex Kronos AESA radar.

the final pair of Italian FREMMS are to be fitted with plannar style arrays. maybe some one should draw one of them up with the 300 model
