I don't see the similarity. The Martini-Henry is a single shot tilting breach-block design, yours is a bottom fed bolt action that doesn't seem to have a long enough pull to eject the spent casings. Also, that open loading frame is just asking for trouble.

Type III Pulse Phaser Rifle, dates from the late 2360's, early 2370's. No definitive length numbers found for this weapon, so I guestimated at 32.5 inches.

Artists Note: This is the color scheme shown on-screen, through Deep Space 9, Voyager, and the movies. Not a huge fan of the polished metal look. I know it looks pretty on a movie screen, but tactically nothing says "Here I am, kill me now" like carrying a big freakin' mirror in your arms.

How I would design a phaser rifle (actually using ones like this in one of my sims.)

I have gone and redone my IPSR.
It is now the same length as the Mosin-Nagant, has a 24 inch bayonet, is now a lot less gloomy in colour, and has a digram of a clip.
The scale bar is set to the average hight of a Britannian soldier.
And yes the bullets are hollow point.

the bayonette, especially for a 24th century weapon, is excessively large if it should even exist at all. The sole reason I can think of for a blade that big stuck onto the barrel of a ranged weapon at that point in time (or now) is for the tacticool factor. Otherwise it's fine.
