Just curious. Both the USN and the HSF designed similar ships, any chance of doing them for comparison/contrast?

So, like comparing the battlecruiser conversions for the Lexington-class to the British BC converts?

No, there were actual similar designs. The US designs had the following armaments:

- two single 12-inch guns
- two twin 12-inch guns
- two single 14-inch guns
- two twin 14-inch guns
- two twin 16-inch guns

Each design had three levels of proection as well: no armor, light armor (about the same as the Weird Sisters) and heavy armor (about the same as Kongo or Lion).

The German designs had two twin 16.54-inch and fairly heavy armor but I think less speed.

Were these American ships mentioned in a science magazine in 1917? I think I have a copy laying around in one of my houses

The fitting finale for this project is finally complete!

Kim has done a cracking job here, having had to do some digging to find the right pictures and identify the correct pattern. I want to give special thanks to Bomhead and Kim for their co-operation with source materials, top-views, templating, advice and colours. The result has been the synthesis of three artists work and is perhaps better labelled as an Old Grey Funnel Line Production! I hope we have given the "Weird Sisters" fitting coverage and dispelled any such label in our representations of their fine lines.
