 I've thinking about if it's possible to make "Real Designs" more easy to search? When I looked for british vessels, I'd to go trough all 10 pages. For RN and RFA there where at least 21 topics (Type 22s - LPD Albion Class L14 HMS Albion - HMS Bulwark, LPD Albion Class - C class cruisers - HMS Vanguard - RFA Austin - RFA's from old site - Queen Victoria's Navy the Midgets - Leander Class - HMS Endurance(s) - Queen Victoria's Navy - Castle class frigate/corvette - HMS Centaur class - HMS Hood 1941 - HMS Eagle 1951 - HMS Tiger 1914 finished? - HMS Ark Royal 1955 - HMS Spice - HMS Eagle 1971 - HMS Dreadnought - Alexandra Class Battleship).
At my way through the pages I recognized the same issue with dutch, US, norwegian and etc. ships.
My thoughts are if we can make some "major" topics as example: "British ships" and then move the above mentioned topics in there? (And do the same for other nations) :?:

What do you think?

IMO, no need to do so. all ships will be placed on the main site like that, so why would we do that on the forums? it would make the threads utterly large and complicated.

that said: there is something true in your words. that's why I am working (for the dutch navy then..) viewtopic.php?f=5&t=751 to make a 'encyclopaedia' for the dutch naval development. but this is only doable when an navy is rather complete or complete, and as we have many members drawing dutch ships, that was doable with the dutch navy..... but even then, it is an huge job

for smaller nations it migth be a good idea (expecially if there is some sort of spurt going on for drawing them.) But the bigger navies with big ships tends to generate lot of discussion over each individual ship so such common thread would easily make it unfollowable.

Also the forum is not supposed to be any sort of archive itself for the drawings, but the mainsite is there for that purpose. Thats why I think attempts to make threads for some navy and repost stuff is IMO bit silly.
The forum'spurpose is to controll the discussion and commenting of the new drawings more effectively than done with E-mails and e-mail chains we used to have before.

You can always use the search tab if you are looking for something in particular ;)

:D Yeah, but you have to be accurate, when you search. It doesn't always work! But anyway, if you are looking for tx british warships then the search function is not an option if you will find them all.
My question arise because of that, but I wasn't aware of the sites architecture. I hoped it was possible to do with links to the "sub"-topics. I'm looking forward to the new archive :D
