http://wiki.shipbucket.com/index.php?title=Main_Page I made this today. Go ahead and use it if you want. Or don't. I am desperately trying to re-learn all the Wiki stuff. So don't be too harsh about templates missing etc. Is anyone here a good wiki admin? |

I've put in what I think the bones of a structure would be, anybody care to comment? Not a wikipedian, just trying to get a handle on the likely required structure (obviously can't quite follow proper Wiki structure due to the almost-certain clashes between various AUs, but this so far is my best guess at it) |

Hi all, A though on consistency ... one problem I suspect we'll run into fairly soon, with multiple AUs on the wiki, is how to manage the differing versions of, say, the Battle of Midway. As a provisional suggestion, I'd like to offer this: For event E specific to an Alternate Universe AUa, we'd create a page AUa.E - for instance, "Denton AU.Invasion of the Falkland Islands" - though it should be noted that "Denton AU" is a placeholder until the parties in the AU can agree a better name. Your thoughts? Ad |

Makes a lot of sense. This format looks familiar, and would help sorting articles per AU first and prevent mix-ups.Your thoughts? Great care would have to be given to the consistency of the AU naming across articles. |

Battle of Midway (Denton AU) Categorize it as [[Category:Denton AU]] or whatever it is. Problem solved. |

Yeah, I wasn't anticipating the extent to which we'd go all-in on the categories as that point, which kinda sidesteps around any namespace concerns. |

Articles need to be categorized if just to make finding them easier. There shouldn't be pages that don't have a category. |

Very impressive effort Colosseum! Btw. just out of curiosity: is there any possibility to put on the main page some (link to) list of the included AU's? I think that it could be perhaps useful. |

Hi Eswube, There's actually already links on the main page to the alternate universes and to the individual AU nations. Edit: This was a late-night brainfart. You're not talking about the wiki main page at all, are you? Ad |

@Apdsmith Actually I was. In that case I'll rephrase my question: could it be made more prominent and more "stand out"? |
