Is anyone working on type 26 frigates and Wave class tankers?

Ahead of their completion

Tide class hasn't been drawn yet, but they are on list of at least to Shibuketeers (I'm one of them, but I am only interested in the Norwegian one). But we are waiting a little untille final drawings of them are available official... if they are already... I don't know.

For the record, the Wave class is out of scale by something like 20%. I've yet to find a good source to correct it, which is why I didn't bring this up before.

I did a new River class a while back, but it was my first shipbucket attempt so it was in the beginners forum ... and I was just trying to work things out and I didn't know how to get it uploaded. Probably needs a lot more work! :?

Firstly, Welcome to Shipbucket :!:

A very good drawing for a first attempt I'm thinking. I'm no expert at ship drawings, but the thing that jumps out at me is, there seems to be the absence of some kind of stearing mechanism.... Perhaps a rudder may not go amiss in this instance?

Thanks :D I thought it was a bit odd too, but I've been looking at lots of CGI images and BAE videos and things and I can't see a rudder or anything on there! I thought maybe the propellor pod things were used for steering as well? Really though I have no idea! This is from the BAE promotional video, and I can't see a rudder or anything there:

but then again there's also this blueprint sort of thing at the start of the video that shows one!

I just added one to see if it looks better. I added a bow propeller as well as per above ... the main problem I found is that the design changes a bit on every reference! I suppose that just comes from drawing a ship that hasn't been built yet :/

I think by far the weakest part of my drawings is the hull, I have real trouble with the shading, but hopefully it looks okay :?
