If you're an ocean liner buff like I am, one of the true "must-reads" of our hobby is the classic book The Only Way to Cross by John-Maxtone Graham, who later wrote a follow-up titled Liners to the Sun. It is with a heavy heart that I announce Mr. Maxtone-Graham passed away early on the morning of 6 July 2015 at the age of 96. He was an icon in the liner buff community and he will be sorely missed. |

My sympathies to his family, and yes, the liners buff community will miss him much. His son Ian just had his Birthday a few day ago, and he's known for The Simpsons and Saturday Night Live. |
