he that have done that have no knowledge about ships.

- first VLS next to APAR. to high up and to close to radar. (would I say). why not just put them on the weapon deck like the original ship have them.
- then the suggested VLS position on the forward deck. can't do that either due to hull strength.

there are so many bad things in this....

and keeping in mind that there is already an ship on this hull with that weapon system in an completely different setup.....

I find it interesting that he insists on modifying the ship to take ESSM when it already carries 36 of them.

I'm most familiar with "CSAR," it's a lot better than either Sparky or Kopp but ultimately it's the musings of an armchair general/admiral with a desire for pie-in-the-sky projects (a return to glory when Canada still had the Arrow and aircraft carriers) with a lot of budget solutions that, while good on paper are very half-baked on closer inspection. Plus there's a very strong, overt more-than-just-paranoid attitude about the U.S. and Denmark somehow being the true enemies of Canada. Which makes this proposal especially ironic.

Ive been thinking about this latly and was thinking they should actually pair up with Australia and build modified Hobarts but with just the AUSPAR radars and lift their old weapons off their current frigates.

That's a bit overkill, the Hobarts make more sense.

Nothing is overkill if it ends the whining about the Arrow. Anti-satellite missiles and theater ballistic missile defense capabilities would make even the most rabid Maple Leaf Forever nationalist feel good.
